The CD10 has been designed from scratch by our London-based design team, using our "Sound First" design principles to maximise audio quality and minimise cost and clutter, with no unnecessary elements and premium components throughout. The sole purpose of the CD10 is reproducing music from CD immaculately.
The player is built around a top-notch Wolfson 8761 digital-to-analogue converter found in far pricier players. And we've added other quality components, including a two-pole Butterworth filter to cut out noise smoothly, as well as ultra-short signal path board design minimising noise, to create a true music-lover's machine.
Our "Sound First" principles even apply to the casing. While most budget CD players hide a plastic case behind their metal fronts, our audio-obsessed design team insisted on an all-metal case to match the minimalist front display, minimise vibration and maximise music purity.
For a truly fully-featured CD player, theCD10 can even extract maximum quality from MP3, MP3 Pro and WMA files on CD, plus there's a digital output to connect to a standalone DAC or soundcard.
